I need used books and sports elements for a very poor school in Villanueva Colombia, there are 30 students from 6 to 16 years they also needs dinner plates and mugs, please help us

In reply to Moody. I feel the same way about taking apart good books. So, I scan whatever particular pages I wish from nice books that I want to turn into wall art or use in a craft project. This includes using pictures from children's books as wrapping paper for a child's gift. I can scan music, print it out, and paste it on a stiff lampshade for an interesting effect. There are lots of great ideas out there and I don't have to feel as if I'm messing up a good book when I make them. :D

Sound great what you did with the books. I have another solution. I made a table with my book by putting plywood on top (each end).

Haha – glad to know I’m not alone! I know exactly what you mean about the guilt of chopping up a great read. That’s why I only do it to books that I’ve purchased from Goodwill – they’ve already lived a full life in someone else’s collection and been read plenty of times. Now, they’re ready to be repurposed into something new!

Exactly! And, guests love seeing books around, too. It seems to always make people feel more comfortable when they can easily recognize a lot of classics when they’re visiting a friend’s home.
